The Tibetan Calendar holiday recurrence rule type is for holidays based on either the Tibetan lunar calendar or the Tibetan solar calendar.
Both Tibetan calendars share the same structure, albeit with different date offsets, as the corresponding Bhutanese calendars and Mongolian calendars.
A few northern Indian states, such as Ladakh and Sikkim, observe public holidays based on the Tibetan lunar calendar.
The structure of Tibetan lunar calendar holidays is a month-day pair with the option of observing the holiday on the leap month and/or leap day (if applicable). |
