The Q++Studio Diary and Calendar Automation and Publishing Software for QuarkXPress and InDesign

Does typesetting your range of diaries and calendars, year-after-year, feel like being trapped in Groundhog Day ?

Are you having more and more difficulties finding, and retaining, good proofreaders ?

Are typesetting errors costing you time and money ?

Since 1999, the Q++Studio Diary Publishing Automation Software has been the choice of the world's foremost diary and calendar publishers, to automate the typesetting of their diaries and calendars, reliably and efficiently.

Q++Studio will generate your daily and weekly dates pages, with all the most intricate details, fully automated (multiple languages, including Asian ideograms and Arabic kashidas and multi-level ligatures, insertion of monthly sections in weekly or daily diaries, worldwide public holidays, Moon phases, index tabs, minicalendars, month changes, colored Sundays and holidays, ...).

Q++Studio will also generate your monthly and yearly pages. These monthly and yearly pages can be the traditional planners and reference calendars, found at the front of most diaries. But, they can also be much more: listing of worldwide public holidays, lists of sunrise and sunsets, lists of moon phases, gardening days, health and wellness days, ...

By perfectionists, for perfectionists

Q++Studio is a tool designed by perfectionists, for clients who are also perfectionists and want 100% automation of their typesetting, down to the most minute details. Our clients and users do not want to adapt to the software; they want the software to do exactly what their diaries and calendars require.

Top-notch documentation and support

Being able to automate even the most complex diary or calendar, means that Q++Studio has a rich palette of options and settings. In addition to the thorough documentation that accompanies Q++Studio, users of Q++Studio also benefit from direct technical support by the developper of the software, 365 days a year.

Built on industry standards

Q++Studio uses your own 2-page QuarkXPress or InDesign sample layouts, as input, to generate complete diaries, as editable QuarkXPress or InDesign files. There are no pre-set layouts, Q++Studio works with your layouts. The same 2-page layouts can be re-used for different languages, or multi-lingual combinations, and for all future years.

Backward and forward compatibility

We maintain support for older versions of QuarkXPress and InDesign long after their editors have stopped supporting these versions, so that you are never forced to upgrade your version QuarkXPress or InDesign before it is covenient for you.

On the other hand, Q++Studio will continue to support new versions of QuarkXPress and now InDesign, on the date of their official release. You will never have to wait for Q++Studio to be compatible with future versions of QuarkXPress and InDesign.

International support

Q++Studio is currently used by other diary manufacturers to generate diaries in all European languages, as well as non-European languages such Amheric, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic (including prayer times), using its full support for Unicode, as well as dozens of other European, Asian and African languages.

Built-in worldwide public holidays

Q++Studio includes the unique qppstudio database of worldwide public holidays rules, allowing you to generate diaries that include public holidays dates for all the countries of the world, for as many years into the future as you need. This database is the source of information used since 1999 by the world's foremost diary publishers.

Astronomical data

Q++Studio automatically calculates and inserts into diaries astronomical information such as sunrise/sunsets, moon phases, moonrise/moonset, equinoxes, solstices, zodiac signs, seasons, and most information that can be found in ephemerides. Our calculations are based on the DE430 numerical integration package of NASA and the JPL.

Flexible configurations

The software is available in many different configurations, ranging from a single workstation, to a single location where multiple workstations are connected to a shared server, all the way to a multi-site configuration where users at multiple remote sites connect via regular internet connections to a shared server.
