The method used follows loosely the grand-father/father/son method typically used in backup procedures. There are 3 rules to decide if a backup file will be kept:
•For how many days do you wish to keep backups.
•After that period, for how many weeks do you wish to keep the backup of a given day of the week.
•After that number of weeks, for how many months do you wish to keep either the first or the last backup of the month.
Your company's network administrator might already have a backup scheme in place, and we suggest that you contact him/her to make the Q++Studio backup purging correspond to your company's guidelines.
