The Special Fonts Manager, accessible from the Tools|Special Fonts sub-menu, is used to import and modify the Q++ special fonts tables.

The table contains 5 fields.
•The first 3 are read from the actual font file, and cannot be modified here (you need to modify the font itself).
•The lookup text field contains the text that is used to import holidays and to convert text to holidays symbols.
•The name is there for your convenience, so that the mneaning of each symbol can be clear to you and other users, particularly when selecting characters from special fonts.
The Font ComboBox is used to select one of the existing special fonts tables (if the font you wish to use is not in the list, use the Import New Font option described below). The Size spinner is used to increase or decrease the point size of the text displayed in the grid (sometimes these symbols can be hard to resd on a screen). It is only a display convenience for this dialog and has no impact on the way that font is saved. Use the navigation buttons on the right to modify or delete existing records.
The Font Tools button gives you access to a list of operations that are carried out on the entire special font tables :
•Import New Font : used to import a new font into the database of special fonts.
•Remove Blanks : used to remove blank records from the current font's table.
•Reload Entire Font : reloads the entire font, including balnk records. This is useful if you have added characters to the font and wish to associate new Lookup Texts and Names, or if you have deleted records you should not have deleted.
•Export Font Layout : used to export the currently displayed lookup table to an Excel file. You have the choice of exporting all entries, only the ones whose lookup text is not blank.
•Delete Font Table : This option will delete the lookup table created in Q++, in the Special Fonts Manager, to associate text with individual fonts. This will not remove or uninstall the font from your workstation. This operation will fail if another user is viewing the same font table when you attempt to delete it.
To view special fonts more comfortably (sorting by Name or Lookup Text), use the special font viewer .
