Copying ScriptLines from Another Script

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

To copy ScriptLines from one Script to the Current Script, use the Copy from ... functionality.

Important : makes sure that you select the ScriptLine under which you want to copy (or that you want to replace by) the new ScriptLines, before you invoke the Copy from ... menu or button.

the Copy from ... functionality is accessible from the ScriptLines Toolbar or by right-clicking on a ScriptLine and selecting the Current ScriptLine and Copy from ... from the popup menu that then appears.

A dialog appears that lets you preview and then select the ScriptLine you wish to copy.

Select a script folder on the left, then a script in the middle and finally one of the scriptlines that can be copied (as seen below, only the scriptlines that can be copied will look enabled).

When you select one of the enabled ScriptLines, one or both of the Insert Under and Replace Line button will appear enabled.

Using this button, the line selected in this dialog will be inserted below the line currently selected in the Scripts Editor (ie. the Script will have a new, additional, ScriptLine). This button will be enabled if the line selected in this dialog will fit below the line selected in the Scripts Editor. The enabledness or disabledness of different types of Scriptlines in this preview is exactly the same as that of the corresponding buttons in the ScriptLines Toolbar.

Using this button, the line selected in this dialog will replace the line currently selected in the Scripts Editor (ie. the Script will have the same number of ScriptLines). This button will be enabled if the line selected in this dialog is of the same type as the line selected in the Scripts Editor.

Repeat the above process if necessary.
