Days and Months Chinese Tokens

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The tokens [chd] and [chm] correspond to the token [d] and token [m] and will display respectively the day and month of the Chinese calendar corresponding to the token's date.

For example, September 16 2001, corresponds to day 29 of the 7th month of the Chinese calendar, and on that date, these tokens would be converted to :

The tokens [chdd] and [chmm] are used when you wish the token's replacement to include the Chinese character for the word "month" or "day", as well as the day and month numbers.

To also show the Chinese character used to denote short or long months, use the token [chMM] :

To replace the lunar day by the Chinese Lunar month, on the first of any lunar month, add m or mm. So for example :

[chdm]

will show the lunar month, without the Chinese character for month, on the first of any lunar month.

[chdmm]

will show the lunar month, with the Chinese character for month, on the first of any lunar month.

[chdsm]

will show the solar term, and the lunar month, without the Chinese character for month, on the first of any lunar month.

[chdsmm]

will show the solar term, and the lunar month, with the Chinese character for month, on the first of any lunar month.

[chds]

will show the lunar day but that is replaced by the solar term when these occur (this is analogous to the :chls minicalendar modifier).

The prefix "s" can be used to conditionally show the Chinese day or month tokens.
