[Srs] and [DL] : Hours of Daylight Tokens

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The [Srs] and [DL] Sun Token displays the time between between sunrise and sunset, and between dawn and dusk, respectively.

[Srsh] and [DLh] can be used to display only the hour part of the time.

[Srsm] and [DLm] can be used to display only the minutes part of the time.

The source of data used to evaluate Sun Tokens comes from the Sun Data Source property.

If more than one source is selected, you can specify which source to use by appending a digit that corresponds to that source's position in the list of selected sources. For example, if 2 sources were selected, Oslo and Kristiansand, you would use the token [Srs1] to display daylight in Oslo, and the token [Srs2] to display daylight for Kristiansand. The suffixes h and m described at the top of this topic can also be used, and are placed between the token and the digit (for example : [Srsh1] and [Srsm1]).

The property Sun Options lets you specify how these times are displayed, and lets you specify which of the different solar depression angles should be used to correspond to various definitions of dawn and dusk (Astronomical, nautical, civil, ...).
