Korean Tokens to Display Western Dates

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Displaying western weekdays (Monday to Sunday) and month names (January to December), using Korean characters is a simple translation and can be done using the [dddd] and [mmmm] tokens and specifying the appropriate translation for each weekday and month in the Tokens Manager, as shown in the example below.

Displaying western dates' numbers requires special tokens, because the western numbers are not displayed in the same manner as the Korean dates (which are displayed in a manner similar to Roman numerals).

[kr_d]

To display the western day number (from 1-31) using Korean numbers.

[kr_dd]

Same as above, but adds the Korean character for "day" to the displayed number.

[kr_m]

To display the western month number (from 1-12) using Korean numbers.

[kr_mm]

Same as above, but adds the Korean character for "month" to the displayed number.

To display Korean lunar calendar dates using Korean or western characters, see Korean lunar calendar tokens.
