The Footer of a Help Topic

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The footer of each Q++ help topic contains information about the topic number and the date when the topic was last modified.

Each topic number is unique and is the best way of referring to a topic when communicating with technical support. The title of a topic, or its position in the navigation hierarchy might change from one version of the help file to the next, but the topic number is unique and never changes. If someone provides you a topic number, then you can use it to jump directly to a help topic.

The date last updated is the date when the topic was last modified. We try to make sure that minor modifications (such as correcting spelling mistakes) do not change this date, so that this date corresponds to the last time the topic's contents was either modified or expanded in substance.

In addition to a body, each help topic also has a header and a body.
