Pause for Preview
Property of the ScriptLine : Pre-Processing.
In the Unicode version of Q++ Studio, this property is one of the options of the Generation Options property.
Note : This property is temporarily disabled until the implementation of the new Full Preview.
This property allows you to stop the generation of a diary, just after Q++ has worked out the pagination of your diary, but before it start to generate any of the p-Code. When this option is set and Q++ pauses, it displays almost the same window as when previewing a script.
•The most visible difference is that the EXIT button has been replaced by 2 buttons : CONTINUE and ABORT.
•However, the main difference, and the whole reason for the current property, is that you can then move pages around and even delete them, before the diary is generated. This is extremely useful if you had problems getting your Inserts to work exactly the way you wanted (particularly in the case of Allow Grid Split).
By default this property is false but, for the above reasons, its use is not infrequent. However, manually modifying the pagination of the diary at the last minute is not a replacement for getting it right in the script, since the moving/deletion of pages is not saved in the Script.
