QuarkXPress Crashes while Scanning

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

If QuarkXPress crashes during scanning, this indicates either an internal Quark problem with your internal QuarkXPress in general, or a problem with the particular file you are trying to scan. There are 2 things that you can try to determine if the problem comes from your QuarkXPress setup in general:

From the Tools menu select the Reset Quark Preferences sub-menu.

If the above does not solve the problem, from the Tools menu select the Update Internal QuarkXPress sub-menu.

If neither of the above solves the problem, then contact technical support.

Note that the above assumes that you are able to normally open (double-click on the filename for example) the file that caused the scan crash, and that the problem only occurs within Q++ (scanning, generating, inspecting, saras).
