Restoring Backups (ANSI)

You can restore all, or parts of, previous backups, using the Restore from Backup Wizard, accessible from the corresponding shortcut on your Windows Start Menu.

 

 

The Q++ database is made up of tables. In the Welcome page of the Wizard you will choose between restoring :

 

Scripts and/or Preferences.

 

Shared Data and/or Templates.

 

Use the chart below to determine which option to select.

 

If the name of one of the tables to be restored from backup is, or contains ...

... then select the option

c:\Qpp\Q++Ini.DB  or c:\Qpp\SkipMsg.DB

Scripts and/or Preferences

:\Qpp\Scripts\ (any drive letter)

Scripts and/or Preferences

\QppShare\Broker\

Shared Data and/or Templates

\QppShare\Data\

Shared Data and/or Templates

\QppShare\Templates\

Shared Data and/or Templates

 

Note that no changes are made to your data until the very last step of the Wizard, when (and if) you press the Do it ! button. Until you do, you can always go back and change settings using the PREVIOUS button.
