Setxtbox returned error X

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This QuarkXPress diary generation message means that QuarkXPress cannot find, in the output file, an object that was present during scanning. This can be due to the following reasons:

1.Nested Grouping: The object in question was part of a group, most probably itself part of another group) which was already deleted. In this case you should view the error in the output file to verify that the result is correct (most of the time this will be the case). To avoid this message, if that is the case, you should have a few groups of objects as possible, and always make sure that you only have one layer of grouping.

2.Cross-Page Objects: The object in question is visually on a right page, but because it has its (0,0) origin off the page to the left, QuarkXPress treats it as belonging to the left page. Since build 11724 of April 22, 2006, there is additional code that tries to compensate for that type of issue. If you are having this problem and you are not using build 11724 or later, then you should download the latest update, install it, and then re-scan the grid template that is generating this message, before trying to generate your diary again. Note that you will get a special message for every time that Q++ compensates for this page shift. These messages will allow you to verify that the compensation was justified.

Regardless of the reason, you should always send any script that generates this message to technical support.
