Some insertion dates are duplicated

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Cause : This message is triggered if Q++ notices that there are duplicated dates in the list of all the Insert ScriptLine of a particular DiaryGridLine.

This can happen within an individual Insert line, if there is an overlap of the dates of its 3 properties : Specific Dates, Repeating Dates and Variable Dates. But that would not generate the present message.

The present message occurs when duplicated dates occur in different Inserts of the same DiaryGridLine. This often occurs if you use Repeating Dates to insert on January 1 of the script year and another one to insert on January 1 of the following year. But as the name says, repeating dates repeat, and you end up with 2 insertions on January 1 of the script year and 2 insertions on January 1 of the following year.

Consequences : The combination of a DiaryGridLine and 2, or more, separate Inserts, each trying to start on a left or right page gets too complex and it is impossible to specify clear, simple and unambiguous precedence rules that both the users and Q++ can agree on. This message warns you that the pagination that results from this script may be unexpected.

Solutions :

View all Inserts Dates of Grid : Displays all the insertion dates generated by all the Inserts of the selected DiaryGridLine. Multiple insertion dates are denoted by *****.
