The Holidays Explorer is used to sort, filter, group and export the holidays occurrences and associated rules of all the generated holidays on your workstation. The Holidays Explorer can be launched from the Data-DataTools menu.

When the Holidays Explorer is launched, you are given a few options.

The first option is the option of restricting the range of years to load into the Holidays Explorer.

By default, you are offered the range that includes the current year and the 2 following years. You can choose to extend this range to cover all the years for which holidays were generated, but it is not recommended that you do so as the generated holidays table can become very large, and unless its range is restricted it will take a while for the Holidays Explorer to become fully loaded.

You can also specify the maximum length of the holiday names displayed. This limit will affect the maximum length of each holiday exported to Excel. The default limit of 150 characters should be sufficient for most cases, but you can increase it to 1000 characters (although this will also increase the time needed for the Holidays Explorer to become fully loaded)

When the Holidays Explorer is fully loaded, it appears as shown below.

At the center of the Holidays Explorer is the Advanced Data Grid component.

The following links describe how this grid can be used to sort, filter or group the Holidays.
