User aUserName is updating the same Template (ANSI)

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This message refers to the ANSI version of Q++Studio. For the message that corresponds to the Unicode version of Q++Studio, please follow this link.

This message appears if someone else is updating the same Template. The Q++Broker will put you in a queue and ask you every 60 seconds if you still wish to wait (usually the wait is less than 20 seconds).

If you know this message to be erroneous, (ie. no one else is scanning any templates, or the message refers to your own PC) then try to Release the Broker Locks.

If that does not work, then do the following :

1.Close the Q++Broker from your administrator's PC.If you do not have acces to the Q++ Administrator PC then go to the workstation used as server (the one with the QppShare folder on it) and click on the Q++Broker icon in the taskbar at the bottom right of the screen and select Close from the popup menu that appears.

2.Close Q++ on all machines.

3.Delete everything in the folder QppShare\Broker\

4.Unzip the contents of the Broker.ZIP file which is located in your QppShare directory, into the directory QppShare\Broker\.

If all else fails, contact technical support.
