Using the low accuracy Meeus algorithms for astronomical calculations

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Cause : This message occurs when Q++ notices that you have specified, in International Preferences, that astronomical calculations should use the Meeus approximation which is inherently less accurate than either of the JPL-NASA options.

Consequences : You may get less accurate rising and setting times, particularly at high latitudes in the winter and summer, and some months may begin a day too late in the Saudi Muslim Calendar.

Solutions : You could go to the International Preferences, and select the full accuracy JPL-NASA option instead.
