The Vietnamese calendar is similar to the Chinese calendar in that it also has a Lunar and a Solar component.

 

 

However, contrary to Chinese holidays and festivals, which are sometimes based on the Chinese Solar Calendar, at the time of writing this topic, all Vietnamese holidays are based on the Vietnamese Lunar calendar.
