Windows XP Compatibility Mode

Under Windows 7, to run a program in XP Compatibility mode, go to the Windows Explorer and right-click on the EXE file corresponding to that program as shown in the image below (here for QuarkXPress).



Then, select the Compatibility tab and the Windows XP Compatibility mode as shown below.



Finally click on Apply to have Windows remember that this program should always be launched in XP Compatibility mode.


Note that the above topics and information therein is not needed to run Q++Studio XE2 as it is designed to run in the lowest authorization mode and will never trigger UAC or other such Windows authorization features.
