Your Windows display settings are set to Large Fonts

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The user interface of Q++ is highly detailed and is designed for systems using the standard Small Fonts Windows display settings. Using large fonts will lead to dialogs and screens whose controls and labels overstep each other. Therefore you should use the standard Small Fonts settings.

To change your Windows settings to Small Fonts :

1.Right-click on the Windows Desktop (a popup menu appears).

2.Select the Properties menu item (a tabbed dialog appears).

3.Select the Settings tab.

4.Click on the Advanced button (another tabbed dialog appears).

5.Select the General tab.

6.At the top of the dialog, in the Select groupbox, select the Small Fonts setting.

7.Click OK to close this dialog.

8.Click OK again to close the first dialog.

If you find that, after the above changes, characters are too small, then you can change the display resolution on your workstation. To do this, repeat the above steps up to, and including, step 3 and there change the Screen Area value to a lower value, making sure that the values are larger than or equal to 1024x768.
