This InDesign scanning message occurs if trying to locate the text contained in boxes anchored in another box leads to a potentially infinite loop.

This is usually due to having frames of shapes with content=none anchored in another textbox, as shown in the image on the right.

Solution

Change the content of any shape or frame anchored in another textbox from content=none to content=text, as shown in the image on the right.
