December 31, 2009 (build 12508)

New and Improved

(Unicode) Added support for the Amharic language and the display of text and numbers in Amharic for the Ethiopian calendar.

Fixed and Corrected

(Unicode) Fixed a bug which prevented the saving of some of the Saints Options properties (Brepols 1-dec-2009).

November 30, 2009 (build 12500)

New and Improved

(Unicode) Rewrote the database access to speed-up the access to large tables over a network, or even a WAN.

Fixed and Corrected

(Unicode) Fixed a bug which added odd characters to the end of the names of holidays sets (Brepols 25-nov-2009).

October 31, 2009 (build 12482)

New and Improved

A new feature in the Data Pump now lets you compare a holidays set you copied from the Q++Studio Samples with the original, and then update the copied set in one go.

Q++Studio now automatically verifies that there is a Preferences sub-folder in the installation folders of QuarkXPress versions 6 and above, to avoid the QuarkXPress preferences being stored in the Windows Registry (and causing speed and corruption issues).

Fixed and Corrected

(Unicode) Fixed a bug which prevented scriptline comments entered in the non-Unicode version of Q++Studio from being displayed in the Q++Studio Unicode user interface (Brepols 16-oct-2009)

Fixed a bug that would prevent the currently selected Saints Set from being pre-selected in the Saints Set Properties Editor (Filofax, 01-oct-2009).

September 30, 2009 (build 10467)

New and Improved

New improved calculation of atmospheric refraction for rise/set times of the Moon and the Sun.

Fixed and Corrected

Fixed a bug that would allow a user to try to launch the Holidays Explorer, even if no holidays had been generated (Mark's, 04-sep-2009)

Fixed a bug in the conversion of color codes in holidays and slogans (Buroodisain, 04-sep-2009).

August 31, 2009 (build 12449)

New and Improved

Added support for QuarkXPress version 8.1, released on August 5, 2009. QuarkXPress version 8.1 creates facing pages documents differently than did version 8.00, 8.01, and 8.02, and therefore you must install this update if you want to work with QuarkXPress version 8.1 and above.

Fixed and Corrected

Added SMTP authentication to allow the technical support features to function with our new email server.

July 31, 2009 (build 12443)

New and Improved

(Unicode) Improved the speed at which Q++Studio launches, particularly on networks.

Fixed and Corrected

(Unicode) Fixed in the recurring holidays data pump whereby the default symbols for the copied holidays set would be improperly copied. (Mark's, 10-july-2009).

Fixed a bug in the log of changes to public holidays rules (added in early May 2009) which would not log the correct initial recurrence rule if a holiday was created by copying it from another set. (Charles Lett's, 9-july-2009).

June 30, 2009 (build 12439)

New and Improved

Added a new macro function, GetHolDurationPositionFromTable, which can be used to determine if a date is the first day of a multi-day public holiday.

(Unicode) Improved the speed of loading of the Templates Explorer by a factor of 2 on a 1-PC system, and a factor of 7 on a multi-PC, server-based system. This also applies to the opening of the GridTemplate script line property editor.

Fixed and Corrected

Fixed a bug whereby the Japanese solar terms could be calculated instead of the Chinese solar terms (Tai Shing, 23-june-2009).

Fixed a bug whereby the removal of hidden text from old QuarkXPress files could go into an infinite loop (Filofax, 17-june-2009).

(Unicode) Fixed a bug in the insertion of a SARA from another set (Yangjisa, 11-june-2009).

(Unicode) Fixed a bug in the export of holidays to Excel whereby exporting a second time a selection of holidays less numerous than the previous one would result in an Excel file that still included data from the previous exportation (GPP, 4-june-2009).

Fixed a bug in the recurring holidays generation which would give duplicated dates for the same holiday (and an error under Unicode) if a holiday of more than one day had day in lieu rules for 2 or more consecutive weekdays (Mark's 3-june-2009).

May 31, 2009 (build 12422)

New and Improved

A log of changes to public holidays rules is now kept, making it easier to audit changes.

Fixed and Corrected

Fixed a bug in the Astronomical Data Export to Excel function which would not report a maximum planet transit altitude if on that date, the maximum transit occurred before 01:12 in the morning (Ajasto 22-may-2009).

April 30, 2009 (build 12401)

New and Improved

The online documentation updater now also leaves a copy of the help file on the server so that it may be accessed when running one of the server utilities.

Fixed and Corrected

(Unicode) Fixed a few minor UI glitches in the Unicode version of the Data-only version of Q++Studio (Lett's, 28-apr-2009)

Fixed a minor UI glitch whereby the help file would not be displayed when clicking on the Help button of some of the server utilities.

February 28, 2009 (build 12390)

New and Improved

You can now have Q++Studio automatically download and install updated license files, as well as the updater to Q++Studio and its database of worldwide public holidays.

Fixed and Corrected

(Unicode) Fixed a bug in the Saints Options Property Editor which prevented the opening of a lookup dialog to select  a starting Saints Set (Time/System, 16-feb-2009)

(Unicode) Fixed a bug that would occur when a specific text was used as the result of a macro, instead of the usual  use of sResult (Letts, 16-feb-2009).

(Unicode) Fixed a minor bug in the Slogans Property Editor which prevented the opening of a lookup dialog to  select a starting slogan (Letts, 4-feb-2009).

January 31, 2009 (build 12368)

New and Improved

It is now possible to copy an entire language (options and tokens) from within the Data Pump.

Added tokens to display sexagesimal dates as they are used in Korea, using Chinese characters.

Added a new recurring holidays option that lets you specify that a public holiday only occurs every so many years.

Fixed and Corrected

(Unicode) Fixed a problem in the creation of a new script folder record that would cause problems when sending of a script via technical support (would not have any effect in working with Q++Studio, only when trying to send the script to technical support).
