This message will appear if you try to scan or inspect a QuarkXPress or InDesign document which was last saved as a Macintosh file (ie. was not saved as a Windows file) or might be somehow corrupted.


Solution (QuarkXPress)


To solve this problem, open the file in the Windows version of QuarkXPress and save it once.


Solution (InDesign)


To solve this problem, use InDesign to export your INDD file to IDML, then re-import that IDML file, and finally save it as an INDD file again.
