The EAN token is used to generate EAN13 codes that are often placed on the front page of a diary.

 

The syntax is :

 

 [:ean_xxxxxxxxxxxx]

 

where the string of x's (12 of them) represent 12 possible digits (the only digits allowed for each x are the numbers 0-9 and the letter "y").

 

You can place from 1-4 y characters in the EAN token, and Q++Studio will replace these by the same number of digits from the year of the token, and then automatically generate the 13th control digit.
