The special characters token for an em-dash is:

 

&:m

 

The token for and en-dash is

 

&:n

 

Note that there is no non-breaking form of these characters, because QuarkXPress and InDesign will never break after an en-dash (unless it is followed by a discretionary return) but on the other hand QuarkXPress and InDesign will always crash after an em-dash.
