These month tokens are used to display a shortened form of the current month name.
•All three of the above tokens give the same result; the only difference is the capitalization.
•These are mixed source tokens and, as such, their value will depend on their translation in the tokens manager.
For example, on November 10, in English, the result may be:
•[mmm] = nov.
•[Mmm] = Nov.
•[MMM] = NOV.
The reason why we say the result may be, is that the above tokens are mixed source tokens. Q++Studio will decide, based on the current date, which month it is, but it will then look for the translation that you supplied for 'Jan', 'Feb', 'Mar' … in the current language.
Since you specify the translations, you have total freedom. For example, in French it is common to use a 4-letter shortened month name for month names that are 4-letter or when a 3-letter abbreviation could be ambiguous, as shown in the example on the right.
