Token contains tab or linefeed characters

Scroll Prev Up Next More

This run-time message is generated if there is a tab character or return character in a token.

If you need to insert a tab or a return inside one of the tokens that allow some free text (filled tokens, padded tokens, conditional tokens and holidays response tokens), or in filler tokens, then you should use special character markers instead (such as &t for a tab or &c for a hard return).

The token mentioned in the present message has no meaning and will be ignored until you clean up the token in the QuarkXPress or InDesign file.
