Q++Studio has been in operation across the world since 1997 and is currently in its fourth generation:

 

XV4

Enterprise

Q++Studio XV4 Enterprise

 

The premium version of Q++Studio corresponding to the Client/Server and Enterprise licensing levels, designed for multi-user, multi-site and multi-brand requirements, using high-end server and workstation hardware and operating systems.

 

64-bit database engine with inter-client messaging.

Native 64-bit executable and libraries.

Multi-site and multi-database support with the possibility of importing from one database to another and/or having users connect on-the-fly to a different database and/or server.

Optimized database access allowing clients to connect to the server via a regular internet connection.

Optimized access to QuarkPress files on LAN or WAN servers with the addition of EFS file indexing.

Optimized detection of missing fonts.

Native Arabic support, without the need for any 3rd-party Xtensions or DLLs (supports both legacy AXT Arabic fonts and the modern Unicode Arabic fonts, even those which do not cover all the multi-character Arabic ligatures).

Native Hebrew support, without the need for any 3rd-party Xtensions or DLLs.

SARAs with regex syntax (regular expressions) support, making them even more powerful (Quark 2016 and above).

Numerous improvements and new features for SARAs.

Improved worldwide public holidays synchronization.

Moon Lore module to calculate the auspicious/inauspicious days for gardening and lifestyle events and tasks.

Improved, expanded, and faster, 64-bit astronomical calculations library.

Numerous improvements to the user interface, including support for regex syntax when searching for holidays, one-time-dates, saints, namedays and slogans.

Windows 10 styled UI improvements.

Despite the UI improvements above, as was the case with all previous new versions, current users will still find all the features they know, where they expect them to be, but in each dialog they will note improvements due to more modern components and improved user interaction.

Full re-write of the software and worldwide public holidays updaters.

Support for QuarkXPress versions 8*-9-10-2015-2016-2017-2018 (Quark 8* is not supported by Windows 10 and above).

Support for the advanced new features of Quark 2017, such as Text Background Shading, Text Framing and Text Stroking.

Support for the new font family recognition feature of Quark 2018.

Support for the 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 on the client side.

Runs on the 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 2012 Server on the server side.

XE3

Standard

Q++Studio XE3

 

The standard version of Q++Studio corresponding to the Basics, Standard, Workstation, and Professional licensing levels*. The XE3 version of Q++Studio is fully re-written, and yet users will find all the previous features in the same UI location,  and the XE3 version remains one with lightweight demands on hardware and OS specifications, with an emphasis on backward compatibility with older versions of QuarkXPress and Windows.

Support for this version of Q++Studio will end on December 31, 2018.

Unicode

Support for this version of Q++Studio ended on December 31, 2015.

ANSI

Support for the ANSI version of Q++Studio ended on December 31, 2014.
