TSeasonsDisplayRec — XML implementation

Scroll Prev Up Next More

This topic covers the implementation details of TSeasonsDisplayRec.

Scope: TypeDefinitions.pas; record. Prepared from the curated implementation supplied for this review on 2 October 2026.

SymbolsAndNames uses a profile selector that distinguishes default seasons from default solstices. Preserve the exact profile spelling emitted by the writer. Explicit entries contain symbol/name pairs; their count and initialization loops are given below.

Notation and shared helper rules: Reading this reference.

XML identity and composition

Literal rec_type values emitted within these routines: TSeasonsDisplayRec, TSeasonsSymbolsAndNames. Nested values may belong to child wrappers rather than this owner itself; the attribute entries below give their exact locations.

Structures used directly by this XML implementation:

TTimesDisplayRec

Exact XML fields and attributes

The paths below start at this record or property node. A slash identifies a child element; @ identifies an attribute. Curly braces mark a variable index or expression, not literal XML text. Initial values describe initialization; they do not establish what an omitted individual element does. The Implementation toggle below contains the supplied routines for exact branch order and conversions.

FontName

XML representation: The text of the FontName element.

Reading: Reads the element into FontName when the record node exists.

Writing: Stores FontName whenever the writer reaches this field.

SymbolsAndNames/default_vals

XML representation: The text of the default_vals element.

Reading: Reads the element into strDefaultVals when the record node exists; node2 exists. Before this read, strDefaultVals is set to “false”.

Writing: Stores the literal text “seasons” when UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (true).

Writing: Stores the literal text “solstices” when the following is false: UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (true); UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (false).

Writing: Stores the literal text “false” when the following is false: UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (true); the following is false: UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (false).

SymbolsAndNames/Symbol[@id={IntToStr (i)}]

XML representation: The text of the Symbol[@id={IntToStr (i)}] element.

Reading: Reads the element into Symbol[i] when the record node exists; node2 exists; strDefaultVals is not “seasons”; strDefaultVals is not “solstices”; for each i from 1 through 4.

Writing: Stores Symbol[i] when the following is false: UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (true); the following is false: UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (false); for each i from 1 through 4.

SymbolsAndNames/Name[@id={IntToStr (i)}]

XML representation: The text of the Name[@id={IntToStr (i)}] element.

Reading: Reads the element into Name[i] when the record node exists; node2 exists; strDefaultVals is not “seasons”; strDefaultVals is not “solstices”; for each i from 1 through 4.

Writing: Stores Name[i] when the following is false: UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (true); the following is false: UsesDefaultSymbolsAndNames (false); for each i from 1 through 4.

@rec_type

XML representation: The rec_type attribute.

Writing: Stores the literal text “TSeasonsDisplayRec” whenever the writer reaches this field.

SymbolsAndNames/@rec_type

XML representation: The rec_type attribute.

Writing: Stores the literal text “TSeasonsSymbolsAndNames” whenever the writer reaches this field.

Enclosing initialization contexts

The following enclosing routines establish or override this record’s starting values. Follow the owner link for the complete initializer. Different enclosing objects can supply different defaults.

TMoonOptions.Create is documented in TMoonOptions.

Storage declarations relevant to interpretation

These are in-memory member and property types, not a list of mandatory XML children. They retain array bounds, fixed buffers and selector types. The field reference above defines what is actually serialized.

Implementation details

The Implementation toggle contains only TSeasonsDisplayRec methods. Initializers and helpers belonging to other types are identified separately below. Shared XML-helper limitations are explained in Reading this reference.

Declaration reproduces this record’s complete declaration from the supplied source, including its fields, properties and method signatures.
