Status of Abkhazia: since the 2008 Russo-Georgian war, it appears that the transitory status of the breakaway republic of Abkhazia has been changed to de-facto independence under the protection of Russia.
Kurbannyhua: according to the government of Abkhazia, the date of Kurbannyhua (Muslim Feast of Sacrifice) is set at least 3 months in advance.
