Governing Law: Official public holidays in Niger are regulated by the Loi no 98-05 du 29 avril 1998 modifiant la loi no 97-020 du 20 juin 1997 instituant les fêtes légales (Journal officiel, 1998-07-01, no 13, pp. 500-501) and subsequent decrees.
Public and para-public sector workers no longer get an additional, fully paid, public holiday, the day after any public holiday.
