04 May 2011 (Agence Tchadienne de Presse-N’Djamena) The government of Chad has announced that Friday, May 6, 2011, would be a one-off public holiday on account of that day's 3 regional by-elections.
08 Nov 2010 (Agence Tchadienne de Presse-N’Djamena) Chad's Comité National des Festivités du Cinquantenaire (CONACE) has announced that as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Chad's independence, Tuesday and Wednesday, January 11 and 12, 2011, had been declared public holidays.
05 Jul 2010 (Agence Tchadienne de Presse-N’Djamena) In its meeting of last Thursday, Chad's Conseil des Ministres has announced that the upcoming, August 11, 2010, National Day public holiday had been postponed by 6 months and would be observed on January 11, 2011, instead.
12 May 2009 (AFP-Ndjamena) Chad's President, Idriss Deby Itno, has announced that tomorrow, Wednesday, May 13, 2009, would be a national public holiday to celebrate the government's recent victory over Sudanese-based rebels.
25 Feb 2007 (Reuters) Chad's President Idriss Deby declared seven days of national mourning late on Friday after the central African country's prime minister died from a brain haemorrhage in a Paris hospital.

The sunrises, sunsets, moon phases, moonrises and moonsets used in these calculations are based on the location of Mecca (latitude 21.42°N, longitude, 39.82°E, GMT+3 hours, no summer time rules).
