This message occurs if the extension of the current Script's output filename is not the extension of QuarkXPress files for the version of QuarkXPress currently used or the version of InDesign currently used.

 

➢The extension is .qxp for QuarkXPress versions 8-2024.

➢For InDesign, the file extension is .indd (note that the .idml format is not supported directly; you must open any IDML file and then save it as INDD before using it with Q++Studio).

 

This message can also occur if your output filename uses the .indd extension but you are not licensed to use InDesign with Q++Studio or, conversely, if your output filename uses the .qxp extension but you are not licensed to use QuarkXPress with Q++Studio.

 

Solution

 

You can select the automated solution Automatically change the extension of the output filename or Set the output filename yourself.
