str = MoonLoreRuleImage(nRuleID)

 

This macro function returns the contents of the Image Name field in the Moon Lore Rules Editor for rule nRuleID. The stored string is returned unchanged. This function does not test whether the rule matches any date.

 

The returned image name can be used as the filename component in a macro that supplies the folder and extension separately. For example, with the folder in sImagesFolder and the extension in sImagesExtension, construct the image filename as follows. The folder string must include the required trailing path separator, and the extension string must include its leading dot.

sRuleImage = MoonLoreRuleImage(nRuleID)
sResult = sImagesFolder + sRuleImage + sImagesExtension

The function supplies the stored image name; the macro constructs the filename. The function does not add image-insertion instructions.

 

For conditional display, first call MoonLoreNumHours for the required date, rule and Moon data source, and compare the returned hours with your chosen minimum. Retrieve this field when that test succeeds. The field lookup itself does not apply the minimum or evaluate the rule.
