Template contains a large number of empty graphics frames

Scroll Prev Up Next More
This InDesign scanning message occurs if your template contains over 500 empty graphics frames.

This is usually due to using graphics frames instead of dotted rules, as shown in the example on the right, and it can lead to huge templates.

Another possibility is that you are using empty graphics frames for box keep or box delete minicalendar dates framing and shading, instead of using frames whose content is none or unassigned as specified (unless, of course, you are displaying images in these, in which case this message would not appear).

It is strongly recommended that you find a way to replace these empty graphics frames by another type of object.
