The Nexus Database Server is not running on the server (LAN user)

This message is displayed if the database server does not seem to be running on the local server computer when you try to launch Q++Studio.

 

To address this problem:

 

1.Go and sit in front of the computer that is used as a server (the computer where the D:\Q++ServerXV4\ folder is located).

2.Log in to Windows if this has not been done yet.

3.Wait for the log in to complete and all programs that load at start-up to run (this usually takes 60-90 seconds).

 

Check that the database server tray icon is visible in the notification tray at the bottom right of the screen, as shown in the image on the right.

 

If it is not visible, then re-start the application server; this will automatically launch the database server.

 

If all fails, then please contact technical support.
