Bermuda's Senate has approved an amendment to the original House of Assembly wording of the Public Holidays Amendment Act 1999, putting back Cup Match into the list of public holidays.
The Lower House version had replaced the Cup Match Day public holiday as Emancipation Day (08-Dec-1999), while the Senate version dubs both days as "Cup Match" public holidays; the first named "Emancipation Day" while the second remains named "Somers Day", as per the original version of the "Public Holidays Act 1947".
