Ukraine's Parliament has passed into law the declaration of the following Monday (or working day) as a public holiday, whenever a fixed-date public holiday falls on a day-off (ie. the weekend, or, more rarely, another public holiday).
The gazetted law, Act No. 576-XIV of 8 April 1999 to amend section 67 of the Labour Code (Text No. 175), will take effect on May 14, 1999.
