The government of the Ukraine has announced that it had declared a one-off public holiday, on Friday, August 25, 2000, as a bridge between the Thursday, August 24, Independence Day and the week-end.
This extra public holiday will be compensated by having Sunday, August 27, 2000, be a regular working day.
