The Heritage Minister of Australia's South Australian State, Iain Evans, has announced that the upcoming Adelaide Cup Day public holiday had been renamed "Adelaide Cup Carnival and Volunteers Day".
According to the Minister, the South Australian State racing industry supports the change.
