Kiribati's Attorney General, Michael N. Takabwebwe, has signed into law the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act 2001" (An Act To Amend The Public Holidays Ordinance-Cap. 81).
The aforementioned act amends the Public Holidays Ordinance (Cap. 81), as previously amended by the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act 1992 (No. 11 of 1992)", by repealing the whole of that previous act's Schedule and substituting a new Schedule of "all approved public holidays in Kiribati".
