Peru Declares November 2nd Public Holiday

(Posted on Friday, October 19, 2001)

Source: El Peruano (Normas Legales)

The government of Peru has issued decree DS 115-2001-PCM, which abrogates decree DS 110-2001-PCM of September 27, and makes Friday, November 2, 2001, a one-off bridge public holiday between the November 1st annual public holiday and the following week-end.

Strictly speaking, the decree applies only to the civil service, but Article 3 of the decree does encourage the private sector to also observe Friday, November 2, 2001, a one-off bridge public holiday.
