The interim administration of Afghanistan's cabinet secretariat has announced that Sunday, April 28, 2002, would be an official public holiday throughout Afghanistan, to mark the 10th anniversary of the entry of the mojahedin to Kabul.

This public holiday, established by decision No 20 dated April 1st, 2002 (Hamal 12, 1381), corresponds to the 8th day of the month of Sowr, 1381, as per the Afghan Calendar, which was restored earlier this year (07-Feb-2002).
