Guyana's Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that Wednesday, May 14, 2003, would be a public holiday in observance of the Muslim holiday of You-Man Nabi (the Prophet's Birthday).
This date is a day later than the date that would be observed by countries in the Middle East (though the Prophet's Birthday is not widely observed as a public holiday in the Gulf States).
