Lesotho's Ministry Of Home Affairs has published the official list of public holidays in Lesotho for the calendar year 2003.
The total number of public holidays in Lesotho stands at eleven; New Year's Day, Moshoeshoe's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Worker's Day, Ascension Day, Africa/Heroes Day, King's Birthday, Independence Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Recall that as per last year's January 29 Cabinet meeting (04-Feb-2002), May 25 became a new public holiday, known as "Africa Day", to be celebrated together with Heroes Day, which used to be on April 4, a date which is no longer a public holiday.
Last year's Cabinet decision, coming on the heels of the official announcement of the 2002 calendar year public holidays (08-Jan-2002) caused a bit of confusion.
