Philippines Updates Status Of October 31 Public Holiday

(Posted on Tuesday, October 14, 2003)

Source: Manila Bulletin

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (PGMA) reminded the country of Proclamation No. 374 which makes Friday, October 31, 2003, a one-off public holiday in the Philippines.

Note that when the Proclamation was originally issued (09-May-2003), it was worded to specifically only apply to the public sector. But, the most recent announcements from the Presidency indicate that the date will be a public holiday for all workers in the Philippines.
