Turkmenistan Declares End Of Ramadan Public Holiday Date

The president of Turkmenistan, Saparmyrat Nyyazow, has signed a decree declaring Wednesday, November 26, 2003, as a national public holiday on the occasion of the Id al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) Muslim festival.

The decree refers to the Decree No 2432 "On Id al-Fitr holiday" dated 14 January 1998 (12-Jan-1998). This is the 6th year in a row that the End of Ramadan Muslim festival is observed as a non-working public holiday in Turkmenistan (02-Dec-2002, 16-Dec-2001, 12-Jan-1999).
