Chile has declared a municipal holiday on Friday, November 19, 2004, in Chile's capital, Santiago, to coincide with the upcoming APEC Summit.
The text of the law 19.978, "Establece Feriado Para La Region Metropolitana", does not go into great lengths to define the geographical scope of this municipal public holiday, merely stating that it applies to "la Región Metropolitana".
