The Chief Executive (Menteri Besar) of Malaysia's State of Kelantan, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, has announced that the state government would stick to Friday and Saturday as public holidays, rather than change to to Saturday and Sunday weekends as had recently been suggested.
Note that, for the private sector, public holidays falling on a Friday give rise to a day in lieu public holiday on the following Saturday, in Kelantan and 2 other Malaysian states (Kedah and Terengganu).
