Three Chilean deputies (one DC, one PPD, and one independent) and the Confederación Nacional de Trabajadores del Comercio (Confecove) have introduced a bill that would legislate on opening hours before major holidays.
This follows on the heels of the recent widespread disregard for the agreement restricting the opening hours of supermarkets and malls to 20:00, on December 24, with many keeping their employees on the job until past midnight.
